SouthSouthNorth (SSN) is a network-based, non-profit organisation that embraces the context of Climate Change. Sharing two decades of experience in fields of sustainable development, sustainable energy, poverty reduction, social transformation, gender equality, and climate change, SSN strives to be a learning organisation that is led from the South.
The SouthSouthNorth Trust was set up in 2002 with an international Board of Trustees to govern the organisation. The SSN Trust functions through a Central Office based in South Africa, which co-ordinates activities and projects in Brazil, South Africa, Mozambique, Tanzania, Indonesia and Bangladesh. HELIO International monitors all activities ensuring excellence of performance at all levels of SSN operation and full delivery of vision-based outcomes. SouthSouthNorth receives core funding from the Netherlands Ministry of Foreign Affairs Development Co-operation (DGIS).
